Advertising Analysis & GMV Max
Connect TikTok Ads accounts and ask AI to analyze GMV Max campaigns, products, and creatives.
#The Ads page connects data; AI performs the analysis
Open TikTok Ads and connect a TikTok Business or Ads Manager account. After authorization, TK Copilot synchronizes the advertiser accounts you can access, their Shop coverage, and GMV Max reporting data.
APP CAPTUREThe English light-theme TikTok Ads page with advertiser authorization health and Shop coverage.
The Ads page is primarily where you verify that the data connection is healthy: authorization, synchronization, Shop coverage, and the advertiser that currently holds GMV Max authorization. You can then ask AI to perform the operational analysis from Chat & Sessions.
#Add an advertiser account
- Select Connect TikTok Business or Connect advertiser account.
- In your browser, sign in to a TikTok Business Center or Ads Manager user that can access the target advertiser.
- Return to TK Copilot after authorization and wait for the advertiser and Shop coverage to refresh.
- Check authorization, data-sync health, and token expiry for the advertiser.
- Under Shop ad coverage, confirm that the target Shop appears and review its current GMV Max authorization.
One authorized advertiser does not make every Shop ready for analysis. A Shop can be:
- Covered: an active advertiser covers the Shop;
- Partially covered: some relationships are visible, but an authorization or binding gap remains;
- Not covered: no usable advertiser is linked to the Shop;
- No advertiser connected: there is currently no advertising data source for that Shop.
If the current GMV Max advertiser is waiting for synchronization, refresh and allow the sync to finish. AI can read the complete advertising picture only after both authorization and Shop coverage are healthy.
#What AI can analyze
After onboarding, ask questions from Chat or any connected message channel. AI can break down GMV Max performance by date, advertiser, Shop, campaign, product, and creative.
Campaign performance
AI can compare cost, net cost, orders, cost per order, GMV, ROI, ROAS target, current budget, ROI protection, and current optimizations. For example:
Analyze every GMV Max campaign over the last 30 days. Find campaigns whose ROI kept falling while spend increased, and explain when the change started.
Compare this week with last week for GMV Max spend, orders, GMV, and ROI, ordered by financial impact.
Product performance
AI can compare impressions, clicks, click rate, orders, cost per order, GMV, and ROI for promoted products. For example:
Find GMV Max products with high spend but few orders over the last 14 days, and compare them with the Shop's organic sales pattern.
Creative performance
AI can analyze video and product-card cost, GMV, ROI, conversion, and 2-second, 6-second, and completion-stage view rates. For example:
Compare GMV Max video creatives from the last 30 days. Identify the top three by ROI and explain their 2-second view rate, 6-second view rate, and conversion.
Which creatives hold attention but underperform on product clicks or orders? Group the answer by campaign and product.
AI can also prepare detailed reports and exports. A good request specifies the date range, Shop or advertiser, metrics, and whether you want a summary or row-level detail.
#Interpret advertising data correctly
- GMV and orders in GMV Max reports are platform-attributed results, not a strict estimate of incremental sales over organic traffic.
- ROI is revenue divided by ad cost. Interpret it with margin, returns, and the business objective rather than maximizing the ratio alone.
- Campaign, product, and creative reports use different grains. Do not add rows from different grains together.
- Enriched creative fields such as title, account, and post time may be empty when TikTok does not return or match them.
- AI currently focuses on reading, comparing, explaining, and preparing reports. Change budgets, delivery state, or campaign configuration in TikTok Ads, then verify the synchronized result.
#Troubleshoot authorization or missing data
Check these items in order:
- The advertiser remains Authorized, and its token has not expired or been revoked.
- BI sync is healthy and shows no permission, TikTok platform, or backend error.
- The target Shop is visible to the advertiser account.
- The Shop is connected to TK Copilot and matches the Store ID in advertising data.
- If refreshing does not resolve the problem, reauthorize the affected account.
Disconnecting an advertiser stops its data synchronization. Confirm that the current connection is actually invalid before reconnecting the same business account.
